Prototype Information
The SD70ACe is the latest in the line of EMD's "70"
locomotives, an evolution of the SD70MAC, although its radiator
design harkens more to that of the SD80/90 body. The SD70ACe
has been designed to fit the latest EPA standards and regulations,
and sports 4300 horsepower. |
Kato
is proud to announce the EMD SD70ACe locomotive in N scale.
These are very popular locomotives both for Union Pacific
and railfans. They can be seen all over the United States.
Kato is also announcing the 1st two (D&RGW and SP
were actually the last two schemes painted) of the six
heritage units. Each of these heritage units has its own
special very colorful paint scheme. The number on the
locomotive denotes the year of the merger of that road
into the UP. WW note: DRGW did not merge into
UP in 1989. DRGW bought SP in 1989. SP was
merged into UP in 1996.

pay for from the distributors and from any where our customers
are unable to pay for because their CC will not clear
the order after two attempts. If they are sending a USPS

Stock Checks:
Inventory is a fluid commodity. It changes by the
hour (sometimes by the minute). To retain our pricing structure
we maintain stock levels designed to turnover 6 times each
year. We cannot guarantee stock status till we have an order
in hand. All product is subject to prior sale. If we confirm
that we have it, and, while we are waiting for the order
it sells, you would be upset that we did not hold it.
We used to hold items but learned a VERY EXPENSIVE lesson.
When we held items for customers’ orders, the order
never materialized 80%+ of the time. We lost out on
the orders placed while the item was on hold. Also
we wasted staff time that could have been used to pull actual
orders.
Since we are well known for finding older stock the fact
that it may not be on our shelves at this minute does not
mean we can’t get it. So, as we spell out on our terms
pages, we don’t do it anymore. You may, however, call in and we will tell you if the items
are available and if possible attempt to locate what we
don’t have while you are on the phone. |
