item you are ordering into your e-mail.
It will save time and reduce confusion in determining
what you
are inquiring about.
With the quantity of lines we carry it's not possible to memorize all of them. |
Be
sure you review our terms pages before placing your order:
First: Terms
Page One Finally: Terms Page Three
If you place an order, you have agreed to our terms. |
Please
remember to give your first and last name and the city and
state where you live in all your
communications.
Non-USA
customers please include the country. |
Please
Note:
First: Some Micro-Trains releases
can be limited and run out at M-TL in the first 1-2 days of
the month.
Second: Occasionally M-TL allocates orders and even when we order
additional quantities beyond our Auto-Ship quantities on the
first day of orders at 7:00am we do not receive all we ordered.
If this happens this month, we may be forced to allocate to
our reservations based on timing of the reserve. If the customer
requests multiple copies of an item they may be limited.
Third: Beginning with the June
2008 releases Micro-Trains© Line delivers auto-ship quantities
"simultaneously" across the United States.
Our shipment should arrive on the second or third business
day of the month. This means that our window for reservations
is now shorter. Once they arrive here, stock pricing
applies. Please try to place your reservations
by close of business on the first business day of the month.
For most of our customers this will not be an issue.
Fourth: As always, if you have reserved (via e-mail
with confirmation) an entire run of a series we will pre-order
enough of those items to always fill your order. An Entire Series means just that. If you say you want all the circus items you will get ALL the circus items unless WE indicate that an item is not included. Also
customers who order complete monthly releases are assured
of getting theirs as well.

Smithsonian Civil War Series
Car #10: Sherman’s March
40' Hy-Cube Box Car, Single Door
Part #: MTL-101-00-710 |
|
|
Sherman’s March to the Sea is the name often given to the Savannah Campaign conducted by Major General William
Sherman in 1864. Sherman’s troops began their 300-mile march on November 15th, destroying railroad track, telegraph lines, infrastructure and industry all the way from Atlanta to Savannah, Georgia. Since his Army would be cut off from traditional supply lines, Sherman had designated groups of men responsible for foraging food and supplies from farms. While very controversial, Sherman’s methods proved to effectively break the South’s ability to wage war against the Union. |

"Civil War Era" Country House Kit
Part #: MTL-499-90-954 |
|
|
*Footprint is ? *
Kit comes unassembled and undecorated.
Marketed as CWE by MTL but this house has great similarity to many weekend cabins seen in the mountains of NM, CO, AZ as well as in some areas of Western NY near Lockport & Barker and off Lake Ontario. George's grandparents lived in a house that while not of the same design was near in age to this design and other homes in the area were as small as this one. That house was still there when he and Debra went back east for a family reunion mass for his grandparents in November 1997. This house also looks like some older Section Forman cabins seen along various Steam era rail lines. |

Stock Checks:
Inventory is a fluid commodity. It changes by the
hour (sometimes by the minute). To retain our pricing structure
we maintain stock levels designed to turnover 6 times each
year. We cannot guarantee stock status till we have an order
in hand. All product is subject to prior sale. If we confirm
that we have it, and, while we are waiting for the order
it sells, you would be upset that we did not hold it.
We used to hold items but learned a VERY EXPENSIVE lesson.
When we held items for customers’ orders, the order
never materialized 80%+ of the time. We lost out on
the orders placed while the item was on hold. Also
we wasted staff time that could have been used to pull actual
orders.
Since we are well known for finding older stock the fact
that it may not be on our shelves at this minute does not
mean we can’t get it. So, as we spell out on our terms
pages, we don’t do it anymore. You may, however, call in and we will tell you if the items
are available and if possible attempt to locate what we
don’t have while you are on the phone. |
