If you MUST send an e-mail inquiry, copy & paste the entire description TEXT ONLY (NO pictures!) from the
item you are ordering into your e-mail.
It will save time and reduce confusion in determining
what you
are inquiring about.
With the quantity of lines we carry it's not possible to memorize all of them. |
Be
sure you review our terms pages before placing your order:
First: Terms
Page One Finally: Terms Page Three
If you place an order, you have agreed to our terms. |
Please
remember to give your first and last name and the city and
state where you live in all
your e-mails.
Non-USA
customers please include the country. |
Please
Note:
First: Some Micro-Trains releases
can be limited and run out at M-TL in the first 1-2 days of
the month.
Second: Occasionally M-TL allocates orders and even when we order
additional quantities beyond our Auto-Ship quantities on the
first day of orders at 7:00am we do not receive all we ordered.
If this happens this month, we may be forced to allocate to
our reservations based on timing of the reserve. If the customer
requests multiple copies of an item they may be limited.
Third: Beginning with the June
2008 releases Micro-Trains© Line delivers auto-ship quantities
"simultaneously" across the United States.
Our shipment should arrive on the second or third business
day of the month. This means that our window for reservations
is now shorter. Once they arrive here, stock pricing
applies. Please try to place your reservations
by close of business on the first business day of the month.
For most of our customers this will not be an issue.
Fourth: As always, if you have reserved (via e-mail
with confirmation) an entire run of a series we will pre-order
enough of those items to always fill your order. An Entire Series means just that. For example: If you say you want all the circus items you will get ALL the circus items unless WE indicate that an item is not included. Customers with standing orders for complete monthly releases are assured
of getting theirs.

Seattle & North Coast
Road #: SNCT 1155
50' Rib Side Box Car, Double Doors, w/o Roofwalk
Part #: MTL-030 00 240
|
|
|
This 50’ rib side box car with double doors and no roofwalk is painted green with yellow and white logo,
green masked rules on yellow doors, yellow ‘Seattle & North Coast’ herald, and white lettering. It was built
by Pullman-Standard in May 1980, and runs on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. The Seattle and North Coast Railroad (SNCT) was a short-line railroad that operated on the northern part of the Olympic Peninsula in
Washington State from Port Angeles to Port Townsend. The line was unique in that it was a ‘rail island’ with no outside rail connection to a mainline railroad. Instead, rail equipment was brought in via barges that
traveled between Port Townsend and Seattle. |

Southern
Road #: SOUTHERN 44365
50' Standard Box Car, Double Doors
Part #: MTL-034 00 360
|
|
|
This 50’ standard box car with smooth side and double Youngstown door is painted brown with large white Southern Railway medallion, white Damage Free (DF) logo, and white lettering. It was built in December 1938 by Pullman-Standard, rebuilt in June 1957, and runs the Southern District on Bettendorf trucks. Cars of this series were particularly valuable for use as box car conversions; some were rebuilt into 50’6” box cars in the mid-1950s and renumbered into the road series 44359-44378. The stacked white “DF” letters advertise their special equipment for loading auto parts. |

Stock Checks:
Inventory is a fluid commodity. It changes by the
hour (sometimes by the minute). To retain our pricing structure
we maintain stock levels designed to turnover 6 times each
year. We cannot guarantee stock status till we have an order
in hand. All product is subject to prior sale. If we confirm
that we have it, and, while we are waiting for the order
it sells, you would be upset that we did not hold it.
We used to hold items but learned a VERY EXPENSIVE lesson.
When we held items for customers’ orders, the order
never materialized 80%+ of the time. We lost out on
the orders placed while the item was on hold. Also
we wasted staff time that could have been used to pull actual
orders.
Since we are well known for finding older stock the fact
that it may not be on our shelves at this minute does not
mean we can’t get it. So, as we spell out on our terms
pages, we don’t do it anymore. You may, however, call in and we will tell you if the items
are available and if possible attempt to locate what we
don’t have while you are on the phone. |
