Stock Checks:
Inventory is a fluid commodity. It changes by the
hour (sometimes by the minute). To retain our pricing structure
we maintain stock levels designed to turnover 6 times each
year. We cannot guarantee stock status till we have an order
in hand. All product is subject to prior sale. If we confirm
that we have it, and, while we are waiting for the order
it sells, you would be upset that we did not hold it.
We used to hold items but learned a VERY EXPENSIVE lesson.
When we held items for customers’ orders, the order
never materialized 80%+ of the time. We lost out on
the orders placed while the item was on hold. Also
we wasted staff time that could have been used to pull actual
orders.
Since we are well known for finding older stock the fact
that it may not be on our shelves at this minute does not
mean we can’t get it. So, as we spell out on our terms
pages, we don’t do it anymore. You may, however, call in and we will tell you if the items
are available and if possible attempt to locate what we
don’t have while you are on the phone. |
Please place your order using our SECURE Shopping Cart site:
http://wig-wag-trains-cart.com/home
If you MUST send an e-mail inquiry, copy & paste the entire description TEXT ONLY (NO pictures!) from the
item you are ordering into your e-mail.
It will save time and reduce confusion in determining
what you
are inquiring about.
With the quantity of lines we carry it's not possible to memorize all of them.

Winter in a trailer has already been a very Challenging experience but it is starting to warm up again SLOWLY. This has actually been a warm winter and it has seen frozen sewer lines and frozen water lines inside the trailer.

With George working for the C&TSRR 170-180 miles from the shop it is the only way to get your order entered in the system in a timely manner. He is only at the shop 2-4 days a month. So far we have spent 87.5% of his first year salary to provide transportation & lodging so he can work there. Does that make any sense? Winter in a trailer has already been a very interesting (CHILLING) experience in the San Luis Valley of Colorado, one of the coldest places in the continental USA every winter night. Today he had 8" of snow fall between 1:30pm & 4:00pm. It had already snowed for 11 hours. His vehicle did not have the weight to pull out of a dip in the road at the campground and it is there still until the snow melts. It's a 4.5 mile hike back to work on Monday. Luckily he only had to trudge through about 100 yards of fresh snow to get to the trailer.

George is reporting that one prediction for tonight is 4-6 feet of snow with likely disastrous results for roofs on homes. How will a 5th wheel hold up to that??? Winter in a trailer has already been a very CHILLING experience in the San Luis Valley of Colorado, one of the coldest places in the continental USA every winter night. This has actually been a warm winter and it has seen frozen sewer lines and frozen water lines inside the trailer.

November 1 - Pontification Time: While I hunkered down here in Mogote bivouacked near the RR working on the Rapido announcement (that I hope will be complete in an hour) I was listening to Sirius XM 70's on 7 for Casey Kasem's American Top 40. As he counted down to Gladys Knight & the Pips Midnight Train to Georgia (their first #1 on 10/27/73) I was once again reminded of Sunday nights spent doing homework and counting down with Kasey. Then I was troubled by all the consternation the Casem family has gone through since his passing. I sit here in the cold of the San Luis Valley and pray that they can once and finally find the peace and tranquility that Kasey brought so many of my generation especially as he concluded each week with this phrase: "Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the Stars." Now that AT40 has concluded for this week I will put in the Garth Brooks DVD from Wynn Las Vegas, the "Blame it all on My Roots" Concert. What better day can one have? |
